However, digital mammograms may now save and analyze data using a computer. According to the study, the accuracy of the two types is nearly identical. Research published compared digital mammograms to film mammography in 49,000 women with no known symptoms of breast cancer. Both sorts of testing were used to screen the ladies. Because digital mammograms are electronically preserved, they may be evaluated by both computers and radiologists. Images can be altered to improve clarity and visibility. Traditional (film) mammograms cannot.
